Fun Projects

This heavily-photoshopped image won a free copy of a video game for me. Epic Megagames held there Jazz-O-Ween contest in October, handing out prizes to the person or pet rabbit whose costume most resembled the mascot of their video game, Jazz Jackrabbit. Lil' thumper here tied for first place.
This movie shows a sunrise over a grassy little hill in Middle Earth. The elements were hand-painted using Painter 4.0, and then animated in After Effects. The movie is highly compressed for the web, but you can see the detail in a still.
This old clip is a perpetual-motion snow globe sprinkling away in front of a roaring fire. It's short, but fun to play looped at Christmas time.

Professional Projects

I executed the post-production effects for an informational video at Penn State. For this shot I had to superimpose the graphics over the projection screen, and extend the podium to cover an overexposed portion of the video. I composed the effects in Photoshop and applied them to the video using After Effects.

These are some interface screens I created for an interactive program about insects and their role in nature. The elements were scanned or pulled from photo colletions, but of course they required lots of color and contrast adjustments to achieve consistency.
