Red Dwarf if a sci-fi romp from here to the end of the
world. It orginally aired in eight series on the BBC, but you can find
this show in the US on some of your brighter PBS stations or in the
"British Comedy" section of your local Suncoast (or other) video store.
The photgraphs of the crew you see below are linked to sound files
in "RealAudio" format. These sounds require the

Holly, Red Dwarf's shipboard computer, is charged with piloting
the massive ship through the endless reaches of space. This task is
becoming increasingly difficult for the once-brilliant computer as it
succumbs to the effects of computer senility and a pair of head-sex-change
operations.

After a few minor infractions of Space Corps directives, David Lister
was "punished" with a few months of suspeneded animation. Now, three
milion years later, he's awake and ready for action. Unfortunately
the rest of the human race died off in the interim, and he's left
nearly alone in the universe.
What to do now? Well, time to catch up on all the books he's
never read; a big job since he's never read one at all. He
can experiment with new and exciting curry dishes, and
generally invent new and ingenious ways of wasting time. His
life never had any purpose before, so why should it now?

Arnold Rimmer is the world's most annoying bunkmate; he joined the
space corps to find adventure and fulfilment, and he blames society
for the fact that he never rose higher than vending machine
technician.
Rimmer has had a bad life, and now that he's dead things show no
sign of improvement. As a hologram he is unable to touch anything,
eat anything, or have sex with anyone- not that he did a lot of
that last one in the past. Lucky for him he doesn't require a physical form
in order to engage in his favorite pastime- annoying the hell out
of everyone.

A member of a race of cats which evolved from domestic felines,
the Cat is a model of fashion, style, and grace, He cares about
only three things: clothes, his body, and how clothes look on
his body. He's not stupid, he simply can't tear his eyes away from
the nearest mirror long enough to pay attention to the world
around him.

Kryten is a latecomer to the crew, a domestic cleaning droid rescued
from a wrecked spaceship. While he often remarks that he's seen
supernovas more tidy than Red Dwarf, he still takes it upon himself
to do the washing up.
